A great local event to get involved with!!!
Because tennis has been such a positive and important part of our lives, we’re planning a 24 hour tennis marathon to raise money for kids in our community. We’re calling the event Rally for Kids and will begin at Summit High School on August 10th at 10 am and will wrap up 24 hours later!
All proceeds for the event will benefit the Bend Park and Recreation Foundation to help children participate in recreation programs.
How can you help?
1. Donate right now to the scholarship fund
Simply go to: http://www.bendparksandrec.org/info/Foundation/How_To_Give/
IMPORTANT: Make sure to email us back with your name and amount donated so we can thank you and keep track of how much money we have raised!
2. Pledge per hour we play
At least four of us will be playing at all times. We will take short breaks and rotate players throughout the 24 hours – the more pledges we receive the easier it will be to stay motivated throughout this challenging event!
3. Pay to play
For a minimum donation of ten dollars, you can pay to play with us for an hour! Just email us your name(s), your choice of times, your request for players (or just leave it up to us), and the best way to contact you. Any time of the day will be competitive and fun but for a truly memorable experience consider signing up to play against us after dark when we pull out the flood lights!
All donations are greatly appreciated. Help us make recreation programs a reality for children who otherwise could not participate!
