Mountain View beat the Madison Senators 39-14 @ MV’s Jack Harris Stadium Friday night to advance to the Class 5A State quarterfinals.
The Cougars have a tough test ahead of them when they play @ two-time defending state-champion West Albany, who just beat Ashland 75-0! West Albany has won the last two 5A state titles, and lost in the championship game 3 years ago. Two years ago they beat Mountain View in the semifinals.
This marks the 8th time Mountain View has made the state quarterfinals in football and the fourth-time in a row.
Bend lost its playoff game to Glencoe 34-26. The other two Intermountain Conference teams lost as well: Crater 31, Hermiston 14; Thurston 49, The Dalles Wahtonka 7.
