Kevin Collier (Bend High girls tennis coach and sports coordinator for Bend Parks and Rec.) hosts the 22nd annual “Collier Cup” junior challenger tennis tournament this weekend in Bend. The tournament will be headquartered @ Juniper Park and runs Friday through Sunday.

Paxton Deuel, a sophomore at Summit and reigning state doubles champion, won the boys champs 16 singles at the Bally Olympia Champs #1 in Washington this past weekend.

Bend’s Ethan Young-Smith won the boys 12 singles at the 2010 Cascade Champs tennis tournament in Gresham this past weekend. “Champs” is the highest level of junior tennis played in Oregon.
