I’ve been coach spring high school sports in Bend, Oregon for the past 10 years and today was the nicest first day of the season that I can remember. Sure it may snow later this week, it is Central Oregon after all, but today was amazing.

So how was your first day of practice?

The Oregon high school golf season starts on Monday February 22. If you are saying, “wait, it’s way too cold to be playing golf!” Well, welcome to spring sports in Central Oregon. The prep Golf and Tennis seasons start off on the frigid side, but that’s the way it goes. So if you are a prep golfer, you better be gearing up, the season is just around the corner.
