    It was a very close fall for the three Bend schools with Summit edging Mountain View by two points for the fall City of Bend sports championship. All three schools won league championships this fall.

    Bend high girls and Mountain View boys have won the Intermountain Conference soccer titles.

    Mountain View plays @ Bend on Friday with the winner claiming the IMC football crown.

    Summit has already won the Class 5A IMC volleyball title.

    Cross County titles are decided on Friday, Oct. 28.

    IMC has numerous players with state doubles titles

    The Intermountain Conference AKA 5A Special District 1 has dominated doubles since the reclassification five years ago… well on the girls side they were dominating well before the reclassification. The IMC has several current players who have won state doubles titles and should compete for state titles again this year.

    On the boys side, doubles teams from Hermiston, Summit, Mountain View, Bend, The Dalles and Hood River Valley all should contend for state berths, with multiple teams from Hermiston and Summit among the top.

    Champions:
    2010 Hannah Shepard, Summit – The reigning Class 5A doubles champion.
    2009 Paxton Deuel, Summit – A doubles champion as a freshman, Deuel made it to the semifinals in singles as a sophomore. Deuel will play singles again this year.
    2009 Bryn Oliviera, Bend – After winning the doubles title as a sophomore Oliviera played singles her junior year.
