Bend tennis event fundraiser

On Tuesday morning, July 13, 2010, the Ladies Tennis Association at Bend Golf and Country Club will host the twelfth annual TAB tournament to benefit the boys’ and girls’ tennis teams at Bend High School, Summit High School, and Mountain View High School.

Last year this tournament for women’s doubles helped earn $600 per team.

They are seeking 48 women or more to play doubles tennis followed by a buffet lunch at the Bend Golf and Country Club. Welcome bags, court side snacks, lunch, and prizes are included for each player because of generous donations by LTA members. Registration costs $45 per player. This tournament is a lot of fun for the players, and it is such a worthwhile cause.
A special thank you to the women who have played in this tournament every year since it began.

Players will be grouped by divisions, and prizes will be awarded. Play commences at Athletic Club of Bend, Mountain High Residential, and Bend Golf and Country Club at 7:45 a.m. Finals for all divisions will be held at the Country Club about noon. For more information call Pat Peckham at
