Pendleton (5-2) @ BEND (3-4) 7:00pm – Should be a dogfight. Expect a big (organized) crowd @ Bend. Both teams are coming off of losses. Pendleton sits in 3rd in the IMC, while Bend is 5th. A huge game for both teams.
The Dalles-Wahtonka (6-2) @ CROOK COUNTY (0-8) 7:00pm – TDW should improve to 7-2, a record that would seemingly put them in great playoff position.
Hermiston (2-5) @ MOUNTAIN VIEW (6-1) 7:00pm – Always a physical intense matchup. Both teams have won two-IMC games in a row. A loss would put the Bulldogs playoff hopes in serious jeopardy.
Madras (3-5) @ SUMMIT (5-3) 7:00pm – Madras has won two in a row and is coming off a 91-point outburst against Crook County. Summit has already notched a win @ Madras. Both teams still have the playoffs in their sites.

Mountain View (6-1) – A home loss to TDW is the only blemish on a 16-1 record for the Cougars. Don’t be shocked if that’s their only loss going into the state tournament.
Pendleton (5-2) - Losses @ home against MV and @ Madras serve as bookends on a 5-game winning IMC streak.
Summit (5-2) - Riding a three-game winning streak, which includes the buzzer-beating overtime win against Bend.
The Dalles-Wahtonka (5-2) – Losses @ Summit and @ Hermiston. TDW does have the big win over MV, which could be a tie-breaking factor.
Bend (3-4) – 2 overtime losses to Pendleton and Summit and a 1 point loss to TDW. The Lava Bears could be 6-1 right now. Look for Bend to win some of those close ones in the second half of the season.
Madras (2-5) – The White Buffaloes are dangerous, their win @ Pendleton makes that clear. In their two wins they’ve held their opponents to 55 and 50. In their five losses they’ve given up: 61, 72, 78, 67 and 74.
Hermiston (2-5) – The streaky Bulldogs have won 4 in a row early in the year and followed that with a 5-game losing skid. If Friday’s win over TDW is going to start another win streak, the next one has to come @ MV!
Crook County (0-7) – The bad news for the winless Cowboys is that 6 of their final 7 games are on the road.

Jerry Hackenbruck is making his second stint as Summit head football coach.
Here is a look @ some Central Oregon football coaches and where they have been head coaches:
Steve Turner – Crook County/Mountain View
Clyde Powell – Mountain View/Madras
Jerry Hackenbruck – Redmond/Mountain View/Summit/Summit

Friday night’s Intermountain Conference boys basketball schedule features the top 4 teams playing against the bottom 4 teams, which means there are 4 potential upsets… so which would be the biggest upset?
1 Summit @ Crook County - The Storm (4-2 IMC) have won two in a row and the Cowboys have yet to win a game this year, 0-6 IMC and 0-15 overall.
2 Bend @ Mountain View – The Cougars are tough to beat @ home, but when it comes “Civil War” time, you never know. Expect a huge crowd.
3 Madras @ Pendleton – Pendleton has won 5 straight IMC games, Madras has lost 4 straight. Having seen Madras play this year, I wouldn’t be shocked for them to upset anyone in the IMC.
4 The Dalles-Wahtonka @ Hermiston - TDW has won 4 in a row, but playing @ Hermiston is never easy.
Which one do you think would be the biggest upset?

The Intermountain Conference race remains wide open. Here is a quick update for each team.
BEND (3-2) – Big win @ home over Madras last night. Huge week ahead playing host to Summit Tuesday and @ MV on Friday.
• Bend vs Madras article – By Beau Eastes/The Bulletin
CROOK COUNTY (0-4) – Has yet to win a game this season, has a tough one today with Pendleton.
HERMISTON (1-4) – Beat Crook County for its first IMC win of the season, now @ Summit today.
PENDLETON (3-1) – Coming off a big win @ Summit, plays today @ winless Crook County.
MADRAS (1-4) – Has lost 3-streak IMC games. Hosts TDW Tuesday and then is @ Pendleton on Friday.
MOUNTAIN VIEW (4-1) - Saw its 14-game win steak broken by The Dalles-Wahtonka. Has a chance to bounce back @ Crook County on Tuesday before the big civil war game against Bend on Friday.
SUMMIT (2-2) - Has already played the top three teams in the IMC, going 1-2 against them. Big game today @ home against Hermiston.
THE DALLES-WAHTONKA (4-1) - Came to Bend twice this week and left with two big wins. Takes a 3-game win streak into Tuesday’s game @ Madras

Madras @ Bend – Can the Lava Bears keep up with the White Buffaloes running game? Though only 4-11 overall, a Bend win would lift the Lava Bears to 3-2 in the IMC. Madras is looking to snap a 2-game IMC losing streak.
Hermiston @ Crook County – Either the Bulldogs or Cowboys will pick up their first IMC win of the season.
The Dalles-Wahtonka @ Mountain View – The Cougars are looking to improve to 15-0 on the season. A win by TDW would put them in a tie for first place in the IMC with MV.
Pendleton @ Summit – Both teams sit at 2-1 in the IMC and assuming that MV beats TDW, the winner of this game would be alone in second place in the IMC. Their only losses have both come to MV.

Hermiston (0-3 IMC, 5-7) @ Summit (2-1 IMC, 6-8)
No. 7 Pendleton (2-1 IMC, 11-2) @ Crook County (0-3 IMC, 0-12)
Mountain View – The Cougars have a pair of home games and will look to remain undefeated. MV is averaging 60 points per game and holding its opponents to just 50.
Pendleton – The No. 7-ranked Buckaroos have lost just twice all year, to Mountain View and Crescent Valley.
The Dalles-Wahtonka – @ Bend Tuesday, @ Mountain View Friday, unless they just stay in Bend all week, that’s 520 miles on the bus for league games… ouch!
Summit – Big game with Pendleton, the winner could be sitting alone in 2nd place. And then follows it up by hosting Hermiston. Could be a huge week for the Storm.
Bend – @ Home all week, but both games are tough ones. A big week, could be anywhere from 4-1 to 2-3 in the IMC.
Madras – A tough week for the White Buffaloes playing @ MV and @ Bend. High-scoring Madras is averaging nearly 67 ppg, that’s tops in the IMC.
Hermiston – Either the Bulldogs or Crook County will register their first league win of the season when the two 0-3 teams meet on Friday.
Crook County – The Cowboys will be looking for their first win of the season when they host Hermiston. They’ll have their work cut out for them against Pendleton on Saturday.
