OSAA criteria - “Play-In Model – 32 teams compete in 16 Play-In games on or before November 5. Two schools from the North Region (PIL, NWOC, CRC) and three schools from the South Region (MWC, MWL, IMC) will be eliminated based upon the lowest rankings. Both North and South Regions will form separate 16-team brackets. Highest ranked teams will play lowest ranked teams in their region in descending order (1 vs. 16, 2 vs. 15, etc.). Teams will not play league opponents in the Play-In games. Winners advance to the OSAA 16-team bracket.”
Four of the five lowest ranked teams are from the PIL, but only two teams will be eliminated from their region.
