SINGLES
Alex Rovello, Cleveland – 4-time state singles title. The face and name of Oregon state tennis for the past four years.
Chris Wiechert, Churchill – Two-time singles runner-up, two-time 3rd place finisher, led his team to two team titles.
Stuart Tierney, Glencoe – In three years, two runner-ups and a 3rd.
Paxton Deuel, Summit – In one year of playing singles finished fourth, losing to Wiechert and Tierney in the most loaded singles draw in years.

DOUBLES
Alex Walentin/Cody Kohlmoos, Summit – The original 5A doubles champions. Didn’t lose their serve in the entire state tournament.
Adam Krull/Paxton Deuel, Summit – The only known all-freshman team to win a state doubles championship in Oregon history. Beat their teammates Guyer/Walsh in the state finals.
Josh Guyer/Tyler Walsh, Summit – 2008 state champions and 2009 state runner-ups. The only 5A team to reach two state finals.
Connor Horne/Matt Walker, Summit – Dominated the 2010 state tournament.

Summit is playing in the North Medford Boys Tennis Tournament this Friday and Saturday @ North Medford High School. The 10-team tournament is the biggest boys touney in the state of Oregon. Competing are:

Summit had its dual match win streak snapped @ 24 matches, when the Storm lost to Hermiston and Churchill this past weekend @ the Athletic Club of Bend.
1st – Hermiston 4-0
2nd – Churchill 2-2
2nd – Summit 2-2
2nd – Bend 2-2
5th – Mountain View 0-4

The Athletic Club of Bend is hosting the Summit boys tennis Invitational Tournament this Friday and Saturday. Jason Quigley and all at the ACB are huge supporters of junior tennis in Central Oregon and are very generous to allow Bend, Mountain View and Summit to use the facilities for this fun and very competitive event. It’s a 5-team tournament featuring defending Class 5A state champion Summit and the 2007/2008 Class 5A state champions Churchill of Eugene.
Here is the schedule of play:
Friday
1 pm – Bend vs Hermiston
1 pm – Mountain View vs Churchill
3:30 pm – Summit vs Mountain View
3:30 pm – Bend vs Churchill
6 pm – Summit vs Hermiston
Saturday
9 am – Mountain View vs Bend
9 am – Churchill vs Hermiston
