Sage Springs Club and Spa will be hosting weekly drop in pickleball play. Free to members and $7.50 for non members. Come join the fun for 2 hours of assisted pickleball play. All levels welcome. 2 courts will be set up for your enjoyment. Lisa Palcic will be on hand to get the play going and give any instruction needed for those of you just starting out.
Weekly sign up sheets will be at the front desk. Play is limited to 16 people each session. If pickleball becomes in high demand more courts and play days may be added.
Court shoes are recommended (no running shoes on the indoor courts please). Loaner paddles will be available but are limited, so paddle purchase is recommended. Paddles will be available for purchase during play or at The Racquet Shoppe in Bend.

Summit had a very successful fall in 2010 where they won two state championships and the Storm are looking even better this year. Here’s what they’ve done so far this fall:
Team (2010 record)
FOOTBALL (0-9) – The team’s 4-1 start is the best in team history. OSAA ranking #20 in 5A. After two-straight winless seasons, the Storm are riding a 4-game win streak as they play host to undefeated Bend High on Friday, by far their toughest game of the season so far.
VOLLEYBALL (5th in state) – OSAA ranked #1 team in 5A. 12-3 record with an 11-game win streak recently snapped by 6A powerhouse Central Catholic.
BOYS CROSS COUNTY (5th in state) – Ranked 2nd in the state, the Storm boys are looking like a state-championship team with a dominating performance at the Harrier Classic and two of the fastest runners in the entire state at any level.
GIRLS CROSS COUNTY (state champions) – Ranked Nationally, and the No. 1 team in Oregon. Summit is the heavy favorite to win their 4th-straight state title. One of the best girls cross country teams ever in Central Oregon… and that is really saying something!
BOYS SOCCER (4-9-2) – 5-2-2 record with both losses coming against 6A teams (Beaverton and Central Catholic). OSAA ranking #5 in 5A. Summit has already surpassed its win total from last year. The Storm have a big game with #4 Mountain View coming up on Oct. 11th.
GIRLS SOCCER (state champions) – 5-2-1 record with losses to Sherwood and Bend. OSAA ranking #5 in 5A.
