We all enjoyed the amazing run by Bend South Little League in the Little League World Series, where they won the 2011 State Championship and made it to the final game of the Regional Championships. So here is their roster, now we’ll have to watch and see what they accomplish from here. I know that most of them are multi-sport athletes. I’d imagine that playing on the big stage that they did will help them in whatever sports they choose to play. I’ve had a few of these kids in my tennis classes and I can tell you that Cameron Baker is going to be a stud basketball player. This is going to be fun for use to watch them grow up from here!

Right now Jacoby is 16th in MLB in batting average (309), 3rd in stolen bases (28), 6th in hits (109), 6th in runs (62), 4th in doubles (25)… and he’s a Major League Baseball All Star!
Blake is going to be a busy boy this weekend. Friday – Rookie vs Sophomore’s game. Saturday – Sprite Slam Dunk Contest. Sunday – All Star Game.
The most dominant rookie in some time and for sure the king of the nightly highlight shows (think Sportscenter’s Top-10 featuring at least one Griffin highlight) has more dunks in the first part of this season than most of the world has combined in a lifetime.
Based on stats alone and not team records, here’s how the non-All Stars rank in the Points/Rebs/Assists combined category. Keep in mind 24 players are named as All Stars, this year 25 because of Yao Ming.
Not on the All Star team:
12 Zach Randolph, Memphis
14 Monta Ellis, Golden State
17 LaMarcus Aldridge, Portland
18 Carlos Boozer, Chicago
19 Eric Gordon, LA Clippers
20 Steve Nash, Phoenix
Among those who did make it:
35 Chris Bosh, Miami
44 Manu Ginobili, San Antonio
45 Paul Pierce, Boston
51 Kevin Garnett, Boston
53 Tim Duncan, San Antonio
64 Ray Allen, Boston
