    EUGENE – So close! Mountain View lost to Jefferson 57-48 in the Class 5A boys basketball state championship game.

    Stephen Madison scored a game-high 20 points for Jefferson, who won its third-straight state title. Madison was named Jefferson player of the game.

    Ryan Fisher was the player of the game for Mountain View, finishing with 10 points, seven rebounds and four blocked shots. Seth Brent led Mountain View with 11 points and Mark Claar added 10 points.

    Mountain View led 23-22 @ the half. The Cougars hit 4 of 9 three point shots in the first half.

    Terrence Jones had 11 first half points, including six on MONSTER dunks in about a minute and a half span.

    MV had two all-tournament players: 2nd team – Mark Claar and Seth Brent.
