The two biggest high school sports are football and boys basketball. That’s just the way it is. I’m a fan of all prep sports (especially tennis), but I know what sports are the biggest.

Class 5A Jefferson of Portland takes on Hillsboro for the State football championship this Saturday at Oregon State Universities Reser Stadium. Jefferson is also the state’s top ranked basketball team. Could be a big year for the Democrats, not politically… that’s Jefferson’s mascot!
