Brutal bowl season for the Pac-10
Pac-10 football team went just 2-5 in Bowl games in 2009. Many experts predict the Pac-10 to be the toughest football conference in the country in 2010. They’ll have to improve upon these results to make that happen:
24 USC 24, Boston College 13
UCLA 30, Temple 21
8 Ohio State 26, 7 Oregon 17
14 BYU 44, 18 Oregon State 20
23 Utah 37, California 27
22 Nebraska 33, 20 Arizona 0
Oklahoma 31, 21 Stanford 27

Many “experts” (and common folk, too) said the Pac-10 was the country’s toughest conference this season, also.
Or at least that’s what I heard a lot here in Oregon.
The idea that the Pac-10 was *ever* better than the SEC this season is just silly. Pac-10 folks won’t like to hear that, but it’s the truth.
West Coasters like to complain about the sports media’s East Coast bias, and they have a chip on their shoulder as a result. That chip usually leads to overrating the Pac-10.
People in SEC country don’t have to have a chip. They don’t have to talk about how tough their conference is, or how they’re disrespected by the media. They know the SEC is the toughest conference every single year, no matter who else is playing well. It just is.
Just ask Cincinnati. Or Ohio State. Or any other team that’s been thumped by the SEC in BCS games over the past few years.
Here’s hoping ‘Bama makes it four national championships in a row for the SEC on Thursday night.
not only is the SEC superior to the Pac-10, but it looks like the Big 10 (11) has got to be considered among the strongest conferences.
