The new NBA stars
The NBA just keeps reloading when it comes to “Super Stars” and this young group might be my favorite yet. Checkout this starting five of 22-and-unders.

Derrick Rose Chicago Bulls 22 24.6 points 8.1 assists – Rose has a real shot at winning the league MVP award this season. The Chicago point guard is the most exciting Bull since His Airness himself, Michael Jordan. Super quick and can fly!

Russell Westbrook Oklahoma City Thunder 22 22.5 points, 8.4 assists – So fast, so athletic… so much better than people thought he’d be. Westbrook has emerged as one of the top guards in the entire association. He can dish and score. At a time where the NBA has some legit points, Russell is moving up the ladder quickly.

Kevin Durant Oklahoma City Thunder 22 28.1 points 6.4 rebound – The NBA’s leading scorer, Durant can put the ball in the basket about a million different ways. Many (including NBA players) see Durant as a threat to lead the league in scoring for a decade.

Blake Griffin LA Clippers 21 22.8 points, 12.9 rebounds – The new “Human Highlight” – sorry Dominique. Blake is just simply amazing. His numbers are fantastic, but the fact that he shows up in the sportscenter top 10 plays of the night nearly every night doesn’t hurt.

Kevin Love Minnesota Timberwolves 22 21.4 points, 15.6 rebounds – “He’s over hyped” “He’s not going to make it at the next level.” I can remember hearing and reading those words when K-Love was destroying backboards in high school here in Oregon. I can also remember the same being said when he went on to star at UCLA. Now Mr. Love is one of the top players in the entire NBA and leads the league in rebounding. You may not find a more fundamental big-man this side of Tim Duncan. K-Love is the real deal.
