The Sunrise to Summit is a run or hike up to the summit of Mt. Bachelor from the Sunrise Lodge at Mt. Bachelor. It’s about 3,000 feet in elevation gain (roughly 2 ΒΌ miles). Beautiful, steep terrain. You get to ride the chairlift down after you reach the Summit. Sanctioned by the USATF.
The Bend to Bachelor Duathlon starts in Bend with a 22 mile bike ride up Century Drive to Sunrise parking lot, then a run or hike to the Summit. This can be done in a relay too.
The Mt. Bachelor Hill Climb Time Trial is just what it sounds like. Starts in Bend at Seven Peaks School and ends at the Sunrise Parking Lot. 30 second intervals. Sanctioned by OBRA.
