    DAILY SCHEDULE

    4:15pm JV tennis practice begins
    4:30pm End of Varsity practice
5:45pm End of JV tennis practice

    CHALLENGE MATCHES
You are encouraged to play matches against your teammates. Match play is how you get more experience. If you are having trouble setting up a challenge match with a teammate, let me know and I’ll help you.

    PRIVATE LESSONS
If you have a private coach you are working with… GREAT! You are encouraged to keep that going during the season, but you are only allowed to miss one practice per week for a private lesson and that day has to be pre-arranged with me, or your JV coach.

    MATCH DAYS
You need to be at school on match days. Be sure that you know if it is early release or not and where you need to be. Also, you need to know how we are getting to the match. We won’t always have a bus and some days you’ll have to carpool. Check the website before each match to see up-to-the-minute updates on schedule, transportation etc.

    CANCELED PRACTICES
Some days it rains… some days it snows. We often cancel practice on those days and you have the following options: Go play indoors if you have a membership somewhere. Go for a run and get in a good workout. Try to get ahead on homework, as we’ll be missing days of school for tennis.

    SINGLES OR DOUBLES
I make the decision of if you play singles or doubles based upon what I feel is best for our team. With 4 singles and 4 doubles, you are twice as likely to play doubles.

    JV MATCHES
JV matches will no longer be a “free-for-all” as they have often been in the past. They will be played like a varsity match with 4 singles and 4 doubles teams… this means you need to be in the Top 24 to play matches against other schools.

    MISSING PRACTICE
If you are going to miss practice you need to let me know before hand. There are numerous ways you can get a hold of me:
