Crescent Lake Challenge XC race
Bend’s Eric Martin and Sarah Max were the mens and womens respective winners at the 2010 Crescent Lake Challenge 22k nordic skiing race Saturday. The top 10 finishers were:

I learned that leading the first 15km of the race doesn’t equal victory. Nice work Eric, Jason & Colin for skiing smart and gutsie at the end in that mushy snow! And for letting me lead a XC ski race for the first time…
