Biathlon
A friend just called me to tell me how awesome the winter biathlon was that he had just watched on TV. I’m excited, because I think the NBC coverage of the winter biathlon at the Olympics has been awesome and I’d love to see the sport grow. I’ve always been a big fan because it’s such a unique sport and I really feel like people don’t realize how “cool” it is.
My older brother Sam Cordell is a former national champion in the sport, so I’ve grown up watching it and thinking, “If people only knew how awesome this is!”
It’ll be interesting to see if the coverage of biathlon from the games will help grow the sport.

I’m new to this site and was trying to find biathlon info for the Bend area. Is there an sort of club/group of biathletes in the area? Would love to learn more and maybe become involved. Not sure if I’m supposed to check back on this site so in case I screw it up I’m at maurer @earthlink dot net.

I’m interested in a summer biatholon as well.

Hey Biathlete’s, I’m a grad student in mechanical engineering at Oregon State and for a summer class I’m taking we are designing sports apparel for various odd sports. I am studying and designing for the biathlon and it would be great if I could get a contact who actually participates in biathlon events to help give me an idea on what could/needs to be improved. The class is ran by an upper level Employee of Nike from Beaverton, so there is a chance if something good comes up that if could be available for use in the future. anyone know what happend to the bend biathlon club? going to UO next year and was looking to joining the club but it seems they have vanished. if i dont find anything i think i might look into setting up a school club and trying to get a local event in bend at mt bachelor this next winter.

I dont know, but i’ll ask my brother Sam, he was pretty tied into Biathlon. He may know.
