• Kellie Schueler wraps up the best Oregon prep track career ever.
• Marshall Greene wins his fifth Pole Pedal Paddle title.
• Stephanie Howe wins her first women’s Pole Pedal Paddle title.
• Max King wins pretty much every race he runs.
• Austin Sears breaks Mountain View rushing records.
• Megan Fristoe wins her second state cross country title for Summit.

• Terrence Jones McDonald’s All-American basketball player.
• Brandon Roy NBA All Star.
• Kyle Singler wins NCAA basketball title @ Duke.
That’s a start. What did I miss? Let me know and I’ll add more.

Great Oregonian article by Aaron Fentress about LaMichael James. BCS National Championship: LaMichael James makes case as Oregon’s greatest – in two seasons. Fentress asks if James is the greatest Duck running back ever?
See the link for the full stats, but clearly James blows the other top-10 Duck running backs out of the water when it comes to numbers. 2nd all-time in yards (he should move into first in the National title game). 1st by a ton in yards per game as well as average per carry. Jonathan Stewart also has some pretty awesome numbers in third. Derek Loville is the all-time leading rusher in Oregon history.

Jason Freiboth lost his battle with cancer this week. Jason was one of my favorite “Bend” people. Such a great athlete with an amazing attitude. He spent many years working for Bend Park and Rec. and if you played sports in Bend, he probably had something to do with your sport. If you’d like to make a donation to Jason’s family, here is the link.
